First off, thanks for setting up this topic !
I am a US Army Cavalry Trooper in a RSTA unit (Recon, Surveilance, Target Aquisition) But we are normaly tasked with recovering of Tier One personalities. So in civilian terms....snatch and grab. We do our share of CQB while in country. I also hold the 96B MOS (Intel Analyst) as well
I will be leaving the Army in 2011, but until then, I will be doing RSTA work. I Enlisted back in 1985 and got out in 1996 only to come back in to the National Guard in 2002. I must love the life !
I am married to the greatest woman in the world and she is my insperation to "soldier on".

My name is jimothy, I am a civilian (now ADF Reservist) who is a videogamer and I would be classified as a CQB enthusiast who finds CQB very interesting (which is why I study it) and I practice CQB through realistic First person shooter games and military simulators with my friends who have similar interests.
Out of the two reasons that a person would be on this forum (the two being for professional reasons and the other being recreational) I would be here for recreational purposes. Spamming does not count as a reason to be on this forum.
I use this forum for similar reasons to other people that is to gain more knowledge of CQB, discuss CQB related topics and contribute the little knowledge I have to the knowledgebase here in the hopes that I am being helpful to the community and finally to be the best I can be.
Because my friends and I have no real life training we rely on fragments of information on CQB on the internet, some books and electronic encyclopediaes to learn about CQB which is a very hard way to learn but we seem to get by. I regard CQB-Team, my electronic encyclopediaes and the US Army and USMC field manuals to be the largest CQB resources.

I am a civillian, 13 years old and interested in CQB; namely, the tactical side to it. I use the tactics in videogames, which have aided me greatly.
The easiest way to think of me is a younger version of Jimothy, only for the first paragraph though.

I'm not actually part of a team that requires to do this sort of thing in real life. But I know the tactics anyway.
I'm a 21 year old soon to be LE. My hope is to eventually get into a SWAT unit.
My uncle is a rather high up in a department in his area, and that allowed me to get to watch his departments' unit drill and train. I also have a few friends in the marines, and some in the army as well. Additionally many of my friends have served in armies of other countries (required service and what not)
I play CQC airsoft and many of the other players in one of the places i frequent is visited heavily by marines and LEP's because it is close to quantico. This webby has helped me explain tactics to other friends // teammates of mine that i bring with me airsofting.

Hello,
My name is Mike. I am a LEO in Southern California (land of fruits and nuts). I am a Tactical Officer for a local university and the active shooter instructor. I am always looking to improve my skills and converse with others who have a passion for CQB and self defense.

Hi everybody. I am 27 years old from the Czech Republic. I don't have any military or law enforcement background yet (working as IT specialist). However, I am trying to enter the Police and continue my way up. I am an active shooter, I completed few tactical shooting courses from gun, rifle and shotgun. I also participate in experimental group mainly applying CQB and high-risk warrant techniques in the training. I am also interested in all kind of tactics includung VIP protection, hostage rescue, recon, etc. This site is very informative and I found in useful. The forum is good and I hope I will be able to participate in discussions.
Greetings
Hi,
I'm Will. Have developed an interest in milsim paintball, and am brushing up on tactics and techniques to get the most out of the games.
It's been a while since I served, and am a bit rusty, so finding a site like this is great.
Spent a couple of years as an infantry rifleman back in the early 90's, with some exposure to urban ops, but nothing extensive.
Cheers.
