Brussels and Paris Attack : Always a fleeing man

Hi everyone,

That's not really related to CQB, but more to the terrorism side.

I couldn't avoid to observe on the two recent/major European suicide attacks, there was always one man who was on site, but didn't detonate himself.
In addition, Police never mention any guy doing any sort of surveillance or watch before the act itself, and the watcher come with the others terrorist in the Brussels attack.

Do you think this "watcher" is here to be sure the others detonate themselves, and "help them" with a remote detonator if they get any doubt ?

Or is he there to target first-aid responders (like for example, in "Sniper Alley"), but for some (really obscure) reason, couldn't do it ?

Any other thoughts on this "resemblance" ?

Hey mate,

Could be either way. Could be there for runners who often funnel themselves and make easy secondary targets. Could target emergency police or even watch the respond and analyze it. Who knows? He could've realized he wanted out, instead of "martyring" himself. Maybe he was there as a shooter or like a scout to scout ahead then leave. So many avenues available, we really won't know until he's caught and admits something - if he ever is.
