I'm just a civvy so I don't know jack about breaching, but is it normal to use two rounds per hinge before giving the door a kick? Also, why not kick higher?

I have read quite a few SOPs that say two rounds per hinge, more than that and it's classified as a failed breach - go to alternative breaching method. And yeah he was kicking the door wrong.

kick this topic alive,

How does anyone knows how much hinges, deadbolts and locks are on a door?

I know 90% of the time because i open 3 doors per day, say 15 a week at least without consent.

the guy in the movie is obviously training, and thats what its for. there are more and less fool proof methods though. if you want to get in as a burglar they are no use to you, so ask me anything. i can even tell you based on an image of a door, but i need alot of convincing. breaching is for emergency services only.
