Blast Exposure

Post by Ryan » Fri Jan 11, 2013 2:05 am

The best ways to shield yourself from blast (blast wave, shockwave)? Note that without ballistic shields most guys tuck themselves in (the breach position) but there are different ways to this and obviously your safe stacking distance (SSD) comes into it. Blast blankets? Tucking in?

Depends really on the surface area and surface contact of the charge, where it is, how the blast wave will react to the environment (overpressure, blast wave formation and dissipation).
