Operational Potential
How do you weigh your mission profiles and likelihoods for hand-to-hand or secondary or tertiary weapon deployment? For example if you are a Patrol Officer on the beat, you're not exactly going to carry a fixed-blade around with you when you're patrolling a rural area where nothing happens! So to clarify - the potential of use dependent on your, and your departments, methods of operating, the mission profile you face, i.e. a deliberate entry versus a vehicle stop and the dangers you come across or your previous experience, for example close combat and/or weapon malfunctions.
