How would you shoot around a human shield or in regards to operating within an environment full of civilians? The 5% shot has never been so crucial.

Position your team so you have more lines of fire.

Another option is the use of less-lethal devices. even if you harm the hostage, he or she probably don't mind if the situation is resolved without lethal casualties.
