Working with Helicopters

Post by Ryan » Sat Jul 14, 2012 3:08 pm

You see the use of helicopters heavily in CQB and CT videos. Any TTP's? Tips?

There are a lot of fastrope insertions out there, hover insertions, pinnacle landings and static landings. There are dismount and mounting drills, resup drills dependent on type of heli and landing type. "Direct on the X" or offset?

Fast-rope (FR) or rappel?

Rappelling - 1 guy on rope. Safer.

FR - Up to 3/4 on rope at once depending on height and weight carried. Flood target area with shooters.
