Crouching while moving. Thoughts - pros and cons?

Try it with a full loadout such as an LBV and tell me how far you get.

Took the words right out of my mouth, sir! Very unsanitary of you. That was what I was thinking, though.

Sometimes you need it, with full gear as well. So because you have training in weight room too, you are warrior, not pussy.

Sometimes you need it, true for a very short time for example ducking under a window or something while moving.

It's also true that a warrior =/= pussy but don't forget a warrior =/= superman.

Dont worry I dont have superman syndrome ;), it was just reaction on your try it in full loadout. It was only crouching under the open space, not 100 meters crab walking.

"The Combat Crouch" (Nearly as bad as the "Bouncing Hebrew")

Someone said to me a high/low entry can be done where #1 man crouch walks into the room, said it was good if you had to break contact or use the doorjamb as cover. Anyone heard of this? Now I've seen it done with a ballistic shield but NOTHING else. This person literally says it's about crab walking through the door - which is apparently better, allowing for a coverman - 2 guns on target. Your thoughts? I think it's out-dated. I think splitting operators should be priority, I think a crouched first man is inhibiting me and my movement, he's kind of a blocker at that point.

At the same time I do know about Marines in Ramadi using it due to furniture and/or home internal defenses being set at torso level and "Delta Force developed it during the early 80's" but how applicable is it to today and to current operations?
