Is there such a thing or do details really count? How do you then select priority information for specific teams and make sure they get it in their heads?

Evey last bit of intelligence and planning helps to perform flawless in action. Unfortunately no real plan can be followed to the smallest detail when sht hits the fan. Preparedness and experience take over, that's natural, and I believe having the confidence in yourself and your team members to improvise when needed is key to remaining calm when your original plan needs to be binned.
