Pretty cool idea. Similar to such under the door systems as below.

It is a cool idea but can be cumbersome to carry. A better option might be a couple Recon Robots that you can throw up on a flat roof or use to look around corners. There is a shorter expandable pole they attach to for attics too. Work much better for basements with open stair cases too.

Not necessarily, there's a photo of a tier 1 operator carrying body armor, 5 or 6 mags and a full 40mm 'nade belt around his waist. Imagine yourself doing that, and add a helmet, NODs, a rifle and a grenade launcher.
You can have an LPSS guy assigned to your squad or whatever and he would have a kit that would weight slightly less(e.g. if the standard is 6 mags, he's gonna carry 5, instead of 2 frags he's gonna carry 1 or none, etc.).
Or just take a standard rifleman and give him that LPSS and, if he thinks that it's heavy or big, tell him to f*ck off because he's an operator, not a pussy.
