I find that that is true in hooking around doors. As you are sweeping a large part of the room whilst moving fast (assuming the team is in dynamic mode) it can be hard to take in everything in the room when moving around the doorway. I guess the idea is to sweep the room and see if there is any cont...

Me and my team use the term "pie". How we do it is when we form up on a corner the first man will call to second man to "pie the corner" and so the second man will do so by moving around and clearing the corner while the first man is providing security to the front so the second man does not get sho...

like it would take too long to clear each room. I don't know. Any thoughts? IT: Operator goes from Doorway ---> threat WF: Operator goes from Doorway ---> POD ---> Threat logically IT is faster to secure the first threat, simple pythagoras can prove that. Maths is a very beautiful language. I like ...

Stairway clearing

I have been thinking about the best ways to clear a stairway and I find using a 3 man formation seems to be effective. I found this technique in the US army Field Manual here http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/3-06-11/ch3.htm#par25 http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/3933/u...

Thanks Jake, you just reminded me of systematic room clearing (I think thats what it's called :?: :? ) and precision room clearing. I'm not sure but I believe the difference between the two is that systematic is when you have to clear all the rooms in the building in a logical order while pre...

There should be the CAR/sabre tactical site http://www.sabretactical.com/
and the IDP (Civvie version of the CAR system) site http://www.ipdsystems.com/

of which i have already posted one of the links here http://www.cqb-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8

There needs to be an explanation on stealth and dynamic modes of CQB. It's something I don't want to spend too much time here talking about and I'm sure the admin knows what it is and will add it on the tactical trainer sooner or later. And don't forget about adding different types of gun fig...

Now I don't have any real life experience at all but I'd say it depends, but mostly in CQB nobody uses their sights, or so I heard anyway unless they have to make a concentrated shot (such as when a person is being used as a human shield by a hostile) or when they have to shoot at long distances ins...

The "Hook and cross" otherwise known in this site as the "modified" is the most favored entry technique used in a tactical gaming clan I used to be in. This is because it offers the most versatility. But our SOP has a slight variation that the first man ALWAYS hooks first and second man crosses. Thi...
