Re: Other movement techniques...
For forest areas you should be careful for traps(if you happen to fight people that actually use them) and ambushes while moving, and the formation may be chosen depending on the terrain, since you may be in a really dense forest in which you may have to use some kind of column or in a pretty "wide"...

Re: Long Pole Search System
It is a cool idea but can be cumbersome to carry. Not necessarily, there's a photo of a tier 1 operator carrying body armor, 5 or 6 mags and a full 40mm 'nade belt around his waist. Imagine yourself doing that, and add a helmet, NODs, a rifle and a grenade launcher. You can have an LPSS guy assigne...

Re: Beach clearing/assault

This is what I've ended up with after thinking about beach assaulting for some time. Any ideas or issues?
I'm obviously highly skilled in photoshop.

Beach clearing/assault
I can't see any topics on this, and it seems to be a great skill to have.
How does a team that's boarded on a boat or whatever clear a beach?

Re: Best form of Martial Arts?
While there is no best form of MA, I've found that Goju-ryu(a traditional Japanese karate school) basically includes everything: punching, kicking, dirty techniques, grappling, basic ground fighting. The ground fighting ends at basic, thus BJJ is handy. The huge disadvantage of traditional Okinawan ...

Re: Specnaz Guy
"Is that plausible for Spetsnaz though, I don't know"
It's not. Spetsnaz definitely gets good medical training, especially GRU, which is mostly a recon/sabotage unit which may have to treat their teammates deep behind enemy lines. The guy is likely a fraud.

Re: List of Elite Police Units
"Romania: Brigada Antiteroristă, (counter-terrorist brigade)" BAT(Brigada Antitero/Antiteroristă) is the force of the internal intelligence agency, somehow similar to FBI's HRT. They aren't a police unit and they don't do police missions, they only do anti-terror missions and they're the ones design...

Hello I'm Alfa47 (obviously) and I have no military or LE experience in any way, shape or form. I am a gamer and apply CQB tactics in tactical video games(which I enjoy the most) and I'm here because I want to learn more about CQB, SUT and other TTPs in general, so expect a lot of questions from me....
