Re: ESA/TD

Keeping it at the team level and especially for a coordinated entry: we use the acronym "CLPMRT". In correct order 1. Comm plan 2. Phase lines (Boundary and Safety) 3. Link up plan 4. Target identification 5. Rehearsals and 6. Mission success. 1. Self explanatory, have your primary, secondary, and ...

Re: Building/room clearing in a prison setting

I work in a prison and I am a member of special operations response team. We train 3 times a month and this a collateral duty. When we train build entries we have always trained in dynamics entries usually with a 6 man team just dumping into room. That seems kind of disorganized. Can I assume that ...

I attended sniper school in the Army. My longest shot was 1780 yds. That was with a .50 rifle.
I don't post pictures online that can be stolen.

Re: The AK!

What ammo and barrel do you use on your ar? 5.56/.223 normally isn't accurate at 800 yards. Thats more .308 match grade territory. I've missed bursts with a mounted .50 cal at that range. I've seen someone use an AR-15 that could hit out to 600 yards. I wouldn't use one past 400 yards, myself. I've...

What do you mean with fused handles, spot welds or something similar?
I knew that it wasn't stainless when I bought it. It was "tool" steel.

Welcome. I don't think hidden camera's provide either safety or security. Since nobody should be aware of their presence they aren't compelled to change their behavior. They only gather evidence or information, if used correctly and successfully. However a sign stating an area is observed by camera...

Re: Whats your multitool and why?

Is that the NSN 5110-01-540-0186? It looks very hard to handle with gloves, but if you like it so much I might give it a try. I can get one for free if I want. How is it built, with rivets? Btw, do you have to buy these kinds of equipment yourself in your unit? The serial started with A10. I rememb...

Ryan and I were attempting to bring some levity to the discussion. I think that our attempts were too subtle. Sorry.

Gerber Diesel-Stainless. Versatility and durability. I have given it absolute hell. Among other things, I helped wedge a locked car door open with it and it is still working perfectly, 9 1/2 years later. It's 11 years old. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Why did I buy a Gerber? When I was in the U.S...

Re: CQB - Offensive vs Defensive CQB?

Hey guys, new member and echo what you guys said. I also have never heard of defensive shooting / moving inside your home? I can only assume the definition was meant more for an open air assault ? Like you're been robbed in a parking lot, etc. however, I compete routinely at various uspsa and IDPA ...

Re: The AK!

Indeed I am happy with the strict firearms laws we have here. Personally I think people who need to exercise their right to "open-carry" long rifles could find better past-times if they gave it a little more thought, but if its your lawful right you could do that. Even if its the right to arm bears...

Re: The AK!

Civilians don't ever need an ak-105 ever, and that's how it should be, even semi automatic weapons with 30Rds, like in some U States are ridiculous if you ask me. Illegal elephant hunters use bolt-action rifles... Why should a civilian need a 30rnd full-automatic rifle effective up to and including...
