Re: Watch your step

Disregarding the warning will cause me not to get any sleep tonight. How do you guys deal with this kind of footage, when you lived through the real thing several times? The whole vicarious suffering thing you have to get past otherwise it will drag you down. Life is not some picture-perfect step-b...

Re: ACT

Then I think you should add "Get someone to call emergency services" pretty high in there somewhere, 911 works on most of the world, the actual number may vary. With your work you must encounter this a lot with any emergency where there is a first responder, but to much of a crisis for him/her to m...

Re: ACT

This is a good subject, but just posting the acronym without explaining any further seems to not do it justice. Its also hard to enter in a discussion when you only post an acronym, and its meaning without going further on the subject or its implementation. I could post: Call 911(or 101, 112, etc.)...

Re: Clearing open rooms in a hallway.

Terminology wise it's direct opposing vs split opposing. One man. Clear as much of one side, close to the wall, then come back and clear the other. Whenever you clear a room from the outside, transition your view to down-hall because that's the next threat area. That's all I can think of because in ...

Re: Shopping Trolleys

Alright. Noise when gunfire is going on is not much of a compromise to me. It's acceptable risk. The way the carts were stacked, as far as I know, was difficult to gain entry - getting trapped and caught. Hence why I was asking. If it was simply a few carts in the way, of course it's easy to move.

The 'helmet fire' and confusion is granted, this was written with hindsight bias. I should have put a disclaimer.

Re: Are you working as a tactical operator/security/police?

We've talked the CQB out of CQB. People come and go. Most forums are like this, even the mil ones. Tactics is not talked a lot on those forums though, mainly news and events.

I mean it still looks rather amateur and I spot a thousand mistakes but they're trained.

They're not that active on the streets. The Ahmadiyya community can be, to a degree, but in small numbers. There have been books by the scholarly class on ISIS and refuting their claims such as "A Letter to Baghdadi" and things like that. But if you take a look at these sources and counter-arguments...

Re: Knowing the Enemy

The problem i think is that WE WESTERNERS are afraid to take the racist path and consider everyone of middle eastern decent a possible target as well as everyone who exhibits Muslim features or behavior. Of course I'm not so stupid to understand that such actions only cause more friction, and possi...
