Priority of Work

What is your priority of work when you enter a room?

E.g.

"Priority of Work: Red Zones (area that cannot be seen or cleared), Open doors/apertures, closed doors, locked doors."

Re: Dealing with 2 deep corners - 1 man entry

Yes you can peek. You can shoulder check. You can angle both sides before entry. It depends on what you preference. The compromise with the peek or shoulder check is that your weapon may not be facing threat. You may have your back to the threat. Angling both sides at least allows you to clear more ...

Re: Comments on Entry Technique: Lateral Bound Snap Entry

Yes, it's like RTR. I think RTR is harder to teach because some guys still get hogtied on charging the room after #1 man (an immediate entry). I find this to be more focused on fighting from the space, as soon as you get a visual (for #2 man). But if you teach RTR "right" it's basically RTR yes. The...

Re: The Better Way to High/Low

I don't get the purpose of two men doing high low when both are pointed in the same direction. Thank you for saying that. I was going to make the same point. Yeah, but wouldn't that double the firepower? Like, I'd rather have 2 friendlies on 1 tango than 1 on 1. And if you approach the corner right...

Re: Religion and Warfare

What about if that religion applauds martyrdom--is this better or worse for a religious fighting force? I.e. would it just lead to 'suicide tactics' more so than actual tactics?

"Combat Entry"? Robert Baer Interview...

47:52.

"They changed tactics for instance in Iraq... a dynamic entry... and then they got ambushed one time and then they did combat entry."

Is this switching from immediate to limited?

Definitely won't be classified but it will take a while. Getting it perfected on paper is hard enough. :D

So we're writing one. Me, Jimothy, Dramtikk, Eli. Do you want in? Contact me.

It has got to the point where, if we don't put it on paper, no one will adjust their practice.

Re: Kicks

Front kicking, while it looks bad ass, forces you to confront a potential threat immediately upon breach. This can be problematic as the breacher most likely is not on his gun and working the angles. At least a donkey kick allows the breacher to get on his gun and work his doorway procedures in a s...

Re: The '45-90-180' Limited Entry Technique for Pair Room En

Any thoughts? I became aware of this post-Guzman raid. Friends contacted me with it after recognizing that they essentially used a limited entry on every door they hit and did so successfully (especially if you ignore the online banter about it). I would say that this qualifies as a 45-90...
