I heard about this type of room entry from guys from German SEK (dont remember what city). The main goal is dominating from the middle of the room to the sides.

Re: Gloves or no gloves?

With gloves. With vests, with helmets, with masks. With all gear.

When we train shooting in plain clothes /undercover/ we are shooting without gloves.

If you dont use gloves in real world, you dont have train with it.

Re: furniture and other obsticals

Furniture is necessary in our training. Too often I see teams train in "aquarium or laboratory conditions" - rooms and halls without furniture, without barriers. Then in real world, they are find that is different.

Of course for basics its good, but no for advanced skills and refreshing trainings.

Re: Train hard/fight easy? Or, train easy/fight hard and di

I hate arrears. Jack mentioned range and 50 bullets. If you have not bullets, you have baton, knife, hands, legs and head, finish your work. I hate CQB training like this. Shooting in Killhouse, you have several targets, Tangos and Sierras. If somebody train clearing the structures (I talk about the...

Both of that operators are my very good friends. They are from Slovak Customs Criminal Office’s Intervention Unit ( http://www.specialunits.sk/zjcs_eng.htm) "They also use a rough Isosceles stance which actually is a bit awkward to use when moving. " - we use it because we are using bullet proof ves...

Depand on situation...

Be very fast, until the moment when we lost the element of surprise.

Its suicide to go fast in the room when we lost element of surprise and there will be suspect with gun pointed to the door.

Hands on face. Its just for first moment, mainly in siting position or standing position, when the suspects are cooperating and hearing our commands we wanted from them to lie down, with hands apart the body. Another reason - in the case of narcotics raids in narcos slums, we always want to see thei...
