we call it simply: "barrier left, barrier right" ( cupboard, sofa, another corners, etc .... ) it means there are some spaces we cant see,

then we can specify sort of barrier : "close cupboard right"

We checking the hits. When we train force on force we can simulate more realistic wounds and behavior of suspects and operators.

Our terminology is:
Door opens inside : knob side and hinges side. Team is from the hinges side.
Door opens outside : knob side and hinges side. Team is from side.
Door on your pic opens inside.

It was some mil-sim unit ?
We train always to check if the door (window, gate, etc) is close or not. It saves time and ensure the moment of surprise.

Sometimes you cant use DD, for example drug laboratory in progress, little kids, etc, etc.
