Blackwater in trouble again

Federal prosecutors have sent target letters to six Blackwater Worldwide security guards involved in a September shooting that left 17 Iraqi civilians dead, indicating a high likelihood the Justice Department will seek to indict at least some of the men, according to three sources close to the case....

The last video showed the shooter with rifle then went to a right handed transition. Unfortunatly he would have failed on a military team. After he fired his pistol, he takes his EYES off the target to Holster his sidearm, a fatal mistake ! YOU MUST KNOW WERE YOUR HOLSTER IS AT ALL TIMES. PRACTICE, ...

birddog do you get command over some men as a specialist? And if so do you get more command as you go up the specialist grades? And do you go up a specialist grade like a normal promotion? Really depends on you. I have lead men as a specialist and I was lead by corporals as well. I just have the ab...

In order of importance in a moving CQB environment. Balance, Observation, muzzle safety(don't sweep your team members), muzzle towards the most likely threat, eyes muzzle gun. Obviously it is not always possible to do all of theses things at once, but some times it is. If you can do all of these th...

Not really. Some go into the ROTC while in college, some go to OCS while enlisted(this gives them a head start by having experiance of how the military works) I know a CSM with a double Doctorats degree in Engineering and he could apply for a direct commision, but he wont. He enjoys his lofty NCO ra...

normaly, they allready know what path they want, but I also know some good junior NCO's who went to the WOC program to become pilots and I know one E4 who is going to OCS (fast track). Its a calling really, and these few individuals are fine examples of leadership within the ranks of the NCO's. They...

We get issued an M4, but the one that I posted on this site is my personal one that I used during my second tour......as long as it uses NATO 5.56 Ball, we can use our personal M4's. We still are responsible for the ones Uncle Sam loaned us !

I'd love to through in my imput, but we use IR and nightvision for 100% of our night /low level light ops. The only time we would use any type of "white light" is to give our possition away and since we dont want to do that.......we dont use it. If you look at my M4, it has mounted on it a STRYKER I...

sometimes bunching up can be a costly to the operators. I know we used the old rule of an arms lenght distance. If a Badguy with an automatic decided to do a spray and pray, we would have just enough space to maneuver and return fire.

that and there really is no cover from the windows and its a blind entry. Plus if I was one of the HT's, I would have either booby traped the front doors or I would have one of my men in position to engage the breaching team. From whaat I heard on the voice download, the HT's have their collective s...

well, I take it that the HRT as enought men to secure the perimiter, keep at least two sniper teams in an elevated or prime possition and have at least 2 breaching teams....one frome the roof and one from the lower leavel enterance. I would have my sniper teams covering the front enterance area of t...
