Re: Research Studies and CQB

Sorry, can't add much to this thread but I'm also interested in seeing how this turns out as I think this will benefit tactics R&D.

Re: Tactical Pied Pipers

Ryan and I have seen a lot of videos of late showcasing conventional military units using limited penetration and thumb over bore shooting techniques in CQB. We are now witnessing the "Superbowl effect" of CQB TTPs. It's funny how much has changed in the last few years.

Re: C-Clamp/Thumb over Bore and CQB

Everyone has to tilt their head to some degree in order to pick up the sights, those that run a shoulder pocket mount will have to do so more than those who mount the stock on their chest, it's just the nature of things. Horner seems to tilt his head at a normal angle, nothing seems out of the ordin...

Re: C-Clamp/Thumb over Bore and CQB

After researching this topic for a while I found it hard to watch the vid and the ignorance being displayed. Like eiffel says he doesn't really have a proper understanding of how or why things are being done the way they are being done. A bit more research on his part would come up with better point...

Re: Corkscrew Grip

Not sure if I understand fully what the guy in the vid is saying but what I'm getting is that when gripping the carbine with a c clamp you use both hands to pull as tight as you can into your body? If that is correct than the only problem I have with that statement is the part about pulling as tight...

Seen something similar to it where the first man crosses under and the second man enters afterwards to clear the other hard corner.

Good points ryan. To give a better view of what Pincus says about the ideal shooting stance/position here are some vids. MY6gwhj5qpY @ 0:59 picture perfect position. 7IEOtvupVnE @ 0:21 rifle position @ 0:26 pistol position. Notice the similarities between rifle and pistol in terms of the relationshi...

Re: Curing the Tactical Turtle

1. I have never heard of anyone looking down to widen their field of view. I'm not an FBI agent, but from my understanding of vision and physiology, this is not how it works. If anything, you should have the widest and largest useful field of view by keeping your head vertical. This is something I ...
