Spot the mistakes - Video

Hello there. One of my friends approached me with this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBiCwf7BNSI&lc=z134ij3iep3ug3n4e04chdc54zvhxf0yh14.1498683559022465 He noted some mistakes and posted a comment pointing it out, and then the uploader went full 'GTFO dumb kid' on him. Since he didn't actua...

Re: Fixed or folding knives?

If I'm not mistaken, Mark Owen(former DEVGRU guy who was in Op Neptune Spear) mentioned that he carried both. A Daniel Winkler fixed blade and an Emerson folder.

Re: The AK!

I recently got an AK-105 for sports. its in between a full length AK/M-74 and an AKS/U. I use it for sporting, but it would do me right when shtf around the house. its a full-auto. I love AK's and field stripping them. Full auto for sports... damn, you've got some nice gun laws. The AK-105 is a swe...

Re: The AK!

Why are AK's popular in some counter-terrorism teams around the world? Because the badass mofos that use them are Slavs, just like me. #AKmasterrace They are great rifles. They are great for covert ops, they are highly modular with a few modifications, they come in various different shapes and size...

Re: Rhizome Manoeuvre

If only bombing doesn't get the required result i think ground forces are viable a possibility. Russian ground forces are operating in Syria. They didn't invade with their whole military, but they have quite a lot of infantry there. Remember Palmyra? The rumor is that they want to assault another c...

Re: Thumb Safety Engagement in CQB Context

This thing is definitely also dictated by your gun. For example, if it's an AK with a regular safety(we've all seen the cool-guy Spetsnaz quick-use selectors) you obviously won't be able to operate it quickly. So, when you get into combat, the safety comes off and it stays off . That's how the Easte...

Re: Running w/ No Plates

Mark Owen talked about an op he did without any plates in his 2nd book, I think. They had to climb mountain for quite a long distance, so he(and other guys from his team) decided that it's better to take the plates out.

Re: Onward

Ground Branch. Take ArmA, add a lot more smoothness to the CQB, remove 3rd person and you get Ground Branch. Plus, the weapon and gear customization is fucking mindblowing.

Re: Onward

Partially yes, but it is a known fact that Bohemia Interactive did a shit job on optimizing any of the ArmA games, and the CQB is really sloppy. Getting stuck in a doorway is something that always happens in ArmA. Always.

Sneaky?

I didn't know where exactly to place this and this subforum seemed the most appropriate. If there's a better one, please move it.(and PM me saying that I'm a blind retard)

How exactly does one walk silently? And I'm referring to both CQB and outdoor scenarios.

Re: Onward

Well, it's kinda-sorta ArmA, but in virtual reality, it's also much smoother than the Bohemia Interactive game.(anyone who ever tried to do CQB in it knows that it's a PITA)

Re: Chainlink Fences and C-Wire

Cutting your way through a chainlink fence from a prone position is the best option if you want to stay low profile and stealthy. Otherwise, what Breacher said.

And for barbed wire, throw a thick blanket or carpet over it and you're good to go.
