I don't think that I saw this post originally back in 2014. LOL. Wow, this was an EXCELLENT post. I wish that I had seen this at the time. I was constantly seeing crap on Youtube. I don't bother with it, anymore. Kudos to you, Jim, for coming up with that appellation, "Tactical Pied Pipers", nail on...

I remember when they introduced the tomahawks, lol.
Yup, same. My gf's parents, who we had moved in to take care of back in 2011, are both dead now. Her dad had passed in Oct. '15, actually. Her mom kept fighting until last March 22. He was 95 when he passed and she was just shy of her 96th birthday by 37 days. We had started buying a new house of ou...
Someone asked me recently to look it over. Amazon wants $10 to download it on Kindle. I told the person that wanted me to read it, to buy me a hard cover version and I would do so. He acted offended that I wanted him to spend his agency's funds on purchasing it. Oh well.

Hiya Dare! Glad to see that you're still around and contributing!
He "researched SWAT tactics": http://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/las-vegas-gunman-acted-alone-studied-swat-tactics-before-deadly-attack-report/news-story/ae070fc4a1b261658b6b01ed09aa188a. Possibility that he used or found this forum? Possibly but, I think it more likely that he went to that...

Stephen Paddock, 64, shot and wounded at least 200 at a concert on the Las Vegas Strip, Oct 1, 2017, killing 50. This will no doubt reverberate throughout the U.S. and provoke another discussion about civilian ownership of firearms.
but do you wear a IIIA vest and a sidearm with 2 extra magazines every hour you are awake? Weight matters, in my opinion, and personally I havent seen polymer framed pistols fail because of their polymer frame. I believe the current generation of polymer framed pistols are just as reliable als full...
I carried the P-220, in the Army, for over six years, on extended deployments, in a thigh holster. For the last 13 years, I've carried the same firearm, a different P-220, in another thigh holster. I guess it all depends on what you're used to. I'm not partial to polymers.
Have you trained to perform the tactical drag on someone that has been injured and you're trying to get them clear before they bleed out? It can take a lot of effort, especially if they're unconscious and unable to assist. You can easily choke someone by doing that if their vest isn't properly secur...
I think that you misunderstood the meaning. A dichotomy is a contradiction in action. An EMT who practices CQB is one example. A doctor that gives out health advice while doing the exact opposite in their own life would be another example. How about a fictional character? Hannibal Lector from the mo...
.38 can over penetrate, depending on what your backstop is. I've always liked the Sig P220, personally. 10 rds in the magazine .45 caliber. I'm a Sig guy, though. Nothing else handles like a Sig, for me.
