Q&A's with Tactical Team Members
Hi all, Looking for people interested in doing Q&A's over at the subreddit. We've had a few with Israeli SF, American SWAT, etc. Keeping OPSEC in mind (obvious reasons). If anyone is interested, feel free to bump me or head over the subreddit and message us there. Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/CQB/...

Re: Syndromes and Phenomenons
Operator Syndrome The tendency for response teams, especially those who are not Special Forces or Special Operations units in the Police or Military, to act all high speed for no apparent reason. Ego pits, draining personalities, "Alpha" negatives. Now I don't know how accurate or fair this is but ...

Re: Research Studies and CQB
We recently did some with Eliran at Project Gecko, who hosted an event called Close Quarter(s) Simulation (CQS). Multiple teams throughout Europe came and we got some good data. Hoping it might be something for a pre-study or CT funding in the future. If anyone knows anything, keep me in the loop.

Research Studies and CQB
Hey all, long time. A friend of mine has recently worked with multiple SOF teams around the world at a multiday international counter-terrorism event. He has recorded a bunch of data (in fairly limited scientific way i.e. non-strict measurements, low control of variables). That data is creating a pi...

The New Normal
Hey guys, Jimothy sent me this video: CzbgloZiYuk It looks like limited penetration has become the new standard, the new normal... at least in some units. You will observe limited penetration techniques (and thumb-over-bore) in this video—engaging targets before entering. Typically entering crisscro...

Skateboards, Segways, Individual Mobility Vehicles
"In the 80s-90s we knew the next war was gonna have a megacity. So they started running wargames and figuring out equipment thinking the next war might be Fulda, or Tokyo. They did crazy camo, skateboards, BMX bikes, knee pads, tons of stuff. Most of it didn't stay, but the kneepads and tomahawks di...

Team Value
"Aim to be a zero. In his book, “An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth”, Chris Hadfield describes how to join a new team at the International Space Station. He describes every team member being either a minus 1, a zero or a plus one. A minus one is someone who takes from the team’s overall effective...
