Re:

Yes. I like the SPEAR System. I find myself using it more and more these days. This! I've done several entries, and had several people that didn't/wouldn't comply. Sometimes it's from just not wanting to comply, sometimes its because all of the sudden stimuli coming at them locks them up. I use the...

Re: The Five Count Pistol Draw VS The Israeli/Mossad Pistol

Not a fan of carrying my firearm unloaded. I know, I've seen Aaron Cohens training, and I've got a friend that attended his class. He doesn't like it either. It's how they rock it in Israel. Good for them. Doesn't fit into my training regimen at all. When I need to smoke a bad guy, the last thing I ...

Re: Quick Question Regarding The Stack Up

I always seemed to be placed up front. Being 5' 7", they say it's easier to see over me. However it sucks in training for everyone behind me when I had to carry the shield!

Re: Mention 5 things that is wrong with cqb in movies

My favorites have always been when the guys are about to crash a door, and wait until then to chamber a round into the weapon. The other is when you hear a hammer cock back, but the character is carrying a Glock!

Re: Dogs

I have used OC on them successfully, but of course that means the team members behind are gonna have to walk through it as well. Taser's work well against dogs, provided you get both probes to hit. But then your losing time, and possibly clogging up the entry...

Re: Two man team videos

Some teams dictate which direction the 1 man goes. Some don't. My issue with saying #1 man goes such and such a direction is what if there is no right side? What if it's blocked? If he runs up the wall he's still in the funnel, or he could conceivably block the rest of the team, slowing them down. I...

Re: Dogs

Bang, Bang. I like dogs. But I was bitten once, and that was all it took to really understand how bad it can be. The City PD actually had a K9 handler lose control of her dog during training. By the time it was over, she had been bitten 3 or 4 times on the leg, the K9 unit LT had a scalp avulsion fr...

Re: Comment on Entry technique: ISRAELI LIMITET

I'm looking for opinions on this technique. Last year a Capt at a neighboring Sheriff's Office (and their tac team leader) attended a week long training class on the carbine done by Aaron Cohen. This is the technique they were shown, and he liked it so much he's switching their tactical operations a...
